For Normal Birth

Over the past 20 years, there has been a trend toward cesarean sections for pregnant women, which has saved us doctors from round-the-clock labor monitoring and allowed us to distance ourselves somewhat from medico-legal issues. Thankfully, our pregnant women now desire normal birth more. The word “desire” is important here. Wanting a normal birth is not enough. You need to prepare well and truly desire it. You need to establish a common language with your doctor. Imagine that there is no such thing as another type of birth, i.e., a cesarean section. If you are in that frame of mind, your normal vaginal birth will be much more comfortable and pleasant. What is written here are scientifically sound statements.

In summary, the most important factor in determining whether you are suitable for a normal birth is not the “pelvic exam,” but being mentally prepared.
